In Israel there is an organization called Yad Sarah – in English that’s “Sarah’s Hand”. This group runs lending centers across the country where people who have items that they no longer need (medical equipment and other things) are matched with other people who need these objects.

Here in Wayne, our member Barry Mirsky proposed that we do some-thing similar. The leadership of Shomrei Torah thinks that this is a great idea. We will coordinate the lending of crutches, scooters, walkers, canes, wheelchairs and other durable medical equipment.
