More than forty years ago, a group of dedicated individuals recognized the need for a Conservative Congregation in Wayne and thus, founded what has come to be known as Shomrei Torah. Though our numbers have grown over the years, many of those original founding families are still members and their original sense of purpose remains a guide for us more than a quarter century later.

All of our activities are impossible without committed members to plan, run and most importantly, to attend these activities. More than our building or our programming, our membership is our most important asset. With a growing and vital list of member families, we have become an even stronger presence in the community and a center for Judaism. Whether it is in times of celebration or in times of sadness, for dissemination and perpetuation of our Jewish heritage, or for socializing and camaraderie, Shomrei Torah is building a Jewish community.

Whatever your reason, make Shomrei Torah the heart of your community.

Read a message from the Rabbi and our President.  Then, fill out a Membership Application. Keep an eye on our calendar, to see all the exciting things happening at Shomrei Torah, and also to see membership opportunities! Please, contact us with any questions!
