During its first session, the new Executive Board discussed the many ways that we could improve the shul.
One of the things we discussed was that while the Todah Rabah service is a wonderful way to recognize our many volunteers,
we'd like to go beyond that. It was quickly suggested that it would be a fun idea to have a VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH, the
person who has given an extra amount of effort to make the shul a better place, be it ritually, socially or financially.
We thought that a nice way to highlight our monthly honoree would be to do three things: write a monthly article (with a
picture so that everyone will recognize the person ), hang a picture of our Volunteer of the Month in the lobby, and award the
deserving recipient a parking spot of their own (in what was formerly the President's spot).
