Operation Isaiah Update
High Holidays 5767 (October 2006)


Approximately 150 bags of paper goods, personal care and other items were collected during the Operations Isaiah Basic Necessities Drive during the High Holidays. Additionally, $394 was collected and donated to the Wayne Interfaith Network. Thank you to all those who participated in these mitzvot. We encourage all congregants to continue to bring non-perishable food and other basic necessities throughout the year, to be deposited in the large barrel in the synagogue lobby.

Year 5766 (October 2005); 160 bags $208 for WIN

As is our custom, we are asking each of our families to bring one grocery bag
filled with personal cleaning and paper products
to the Kol Nidre service at the synagogue
to be donated to those in need.

Items should be in good condition and unopened.
Labels should be intact. For safety in transportation, please
avoid giving items in glass containers.

Monetary donations for the Wayne Interfaith Network will also be
accepted or may be sent to WIN, PO Box 3341, Wayne, NJ 07470-3341.

ALL MONIES AND GOODS MUST BE COLLECTED
BEFORE THE KOL NIDRE
SERVICE BEGINS.


We encourage use to use this project as a hands-on lesson in
tzedakah (giving) and gemilut hasadim (deeds of lovingkindness)
for your children. We suggest that you bring the Operation Isaiah bag to the supermarket
and ask your children to help select items from the list to fill it.
